Taurus

Taurus

«Īshvara is a distinct purusha untouched by afflictions, actions, fruitions, or their residue There the seed of omniscience is unsurpassed. Due to its being unlimited by time, it is the teacher of the prior ones» (Yoga-sūtra, 1.24-26).

Be determined to carry on!

November begins with a challenge for Taurus. Sun and Jupiter in opposition mark a peak for your projects. Tension may come from obstacles, difficulties or economic fears, as well as from Mars square. Mars and, in the very first days Moon, square will make you a little irascible and fickle. Everything that happens now is a test to evaluate your determination. Consider spiritual gain over the material gain of your projects. Think about it, now that retrograde Uranus holds its drive to revolutionize your life back for a few months.

Kriyā-yoga, the yoga of action or preliminary yoga, is composed of three elements: commitment (tapas), study or self-knowledge (svādhyāya), surrender to God or trust (Īśvara pranidhāna). These three are essential requirements for anything you want to undertake in life, from the smallest activity to the biggest projects. You must start with the intention of committing yourself; aware of your potential and your limits; confident that, despite the possibility of obstacles, you will reach the goal.

If what you have been pursuing in the last few months finds now obstacles or difficulties, Taurus, do not think of a failure, but take it as an experience and a chance to improve.

Be convinced, though not arrogant, with this sequence:

Anuloma-Viloma prānāyāma, literally natural-unnatural breath, also called nādī-śuddhi or nādī-śodhana, or purification of the canals. Use this technique to clarify and stabilize your mind. It is a great example of commitment and discipline. Try to exhale twice the time of the inhalation! // From 3 to 10 min.

Visualization. Relax in a meditative position. Take some time to relax all your muscles. Visualize a green mountain meadow and a small shallow lake with clear water nearby. Sit down by the lake and mentally dive into the lake. On the bottom there are various objects, observe them well, you can pick them up and touch them. Choose an object, the one you like most and, while you choose, ask yourself why you like it. Observe your feelings. Choose whether to bring the object with you to the surface or put it back on the bottom with the others and go up again, with the mind back in the body. Observe the environment, the lake, the lawn, let the image disappear and feel yourself back in your body here and now. // From 5 to 15 min.

Dhārmika-āsana, devotee pose. There is something bigger than you, which often decides for you. Think that it decides the best for you, for your evolution. // From 1 to 3 min.

TOTAL TIME: from 9 to 28 minutes.

MANTRA of the MONTH: «I have faith».
