«The favourable flow of the swarm grants capability to an incapable person whereas it (an unfavourable swara) makes even a capable person incapable. Since all living entities are bound by the reaction of their karma, one should act according to one’s swara.» (Śiva Svarodaya, 99).
Happy birthday Capricorn!
This beginning of 2019 brings you news. With the Sun in your sign you can take stock of your life and understand how to go on for this new year. However there will be difficult challenges: the conjunction of Saturn, though Saturn is your governor, can ask you to cut what you no longer need, especially in the field of relationships; Uranus square can bring you bad surprises; what’s more Mars square can make you nervous and irascible. So take strength from Mercury conjunction to find some wisdom and reasonableness, so as to know how to deal with every situation in the right way.
The svarodaya-vijnāna is the “knowledge of the good fortune resulting from the passage of air through the nostrils”. It is a divination technique that observes the flow of breath to predict events and fortune. The practice presupposes an active part too: one can modify and influence the future by modifying the respiratory flow.
Observe your respiratory flow, Capricorn, observe your emotions and when you feel ready, act. Look for wisdom and help from heaven to do the right actions and get what you want.
Make your breath harmonious with this short sequence:
Anuloma-Viloma prānāyāma, literally natural-unnatural breath, also called nādī-śuddhi or nādī-śodhana, that is cleansing of the channels. This technique helps to balance the body in all its aspects: from metabolism to nervous system, from circulation to breathing. Try to exhale twice the time of the inhalation! // From 3 to 10 min.
Ujjāyī prānāyāma, breath that gives victory or victorious breath. Sitting in a comfortable meditative position, breathe and listen to the slow and deep breath. Be patient and calm. Use this breath during the day in any position to clear and stabilize the mind. Try to exhale twice the time of the inspiration! // From 3 to 6 min.
Brāhmarī-prānāyāma, bee breath. Emit an expiring sound like a fly buzzing around your ears. It relaxes the nerves and the mind and favors concentration. // 1-2 min.
TOTAL TIME: from 7 to 18 minutes.
MANTRA of the MONTH: «So ham».
