Stay aware!

«There is no possibility of one’s becoming a yogin, O Arjuna, if one eats too much or eats too little, sleeps too much or does not sleep enough. He who is regulated in his habits of eating, sleeping, recreation and work can mitigate all material pains by practicing the yoga system» (Bhagavad-gītā, 6.16-17).

There is no more suitable phrase than this for you, Aries. The astrological situation has not changed much since last month, if not for Mars, which will leave its square after the 15th leaving you a bit more quiet, less quarrelsome and more subject to Jupiter pleasures. This is the point: Jupiter could make you overdo eating or idleness. Venus square then can lead you to satisfy your physical and mental desires without applying any discipline or discrimination.

Travels, some physical activity, new ideas can help you eliminate tamas, indolence, and avoid the risk of gaining weight or losing your tone. Do not do it indiscriminately, but use what in yoga is called buddhi, intellect. Buddhi is the part of the mind that reasons, that is able to see emotions that cross the mind itself, that understands and knows how to apply wisdom in actions. The word derives from the Sanskrit root budh, which literally means «to wake up, to be awake, to learn, to become aware». So stay conscious!

A few minutes a day can give you the clarity you need:

Kurma-āsana, turtle pose. Relax and observe where your thoughts go. // 1- 2 min.  

Parivrittajānuśirsha-āsana, revolved head-to-knee forward bend. A strong work on the abdomen and on the third chakra, seat of will. // 1-2 min. on the side.

Vīrabhadra-āsana II, Warrior, second variation. Feel strong and determined in this pose, it will help you to keep discipline. //  1 min. per side.
