Pisces

Be ready for your New Year!

«Restraint, observance, postures, control of breath, withdrawal, concentration, meditation, and samadhi are the eight limbs» (Yoga-sūtra, 2.29).

Your birthday, Pisces is approaching, and by the end of the month you should be able to clear your mind, despite this Neptune conjunction gives you a sense of confusion. You can rely on your ideas thanks to the influence of the Sun and Mercury. These planets will enrich you in the second half of the month with meetings, proposals, trips, new opportunities to learn. All of this can help you expand your business and contacts, but you must be careful because Jupiter puts you to the test in the discipline.

Precisely because you need a discipline, but perhaps you can not understand what and how, I propose you the eight parts of Patanjali ashtanga-yoga. If you are a yoga practitioner, you should already know them, but you maybe do not always remember to put them into practice. There’s no better time to start, I would say. They will help you to maintain not only discipline, but concentration, health, good mood and calm too. I only warn you that when you practice assiduously, these eight parts are so strong that they trigger a sense of omnipotence and pride. With Jupiter square, this sense could be greatly increased. In this case, keep in mind what is trying to teach you Neptune: becoming aware on a wider plane and not only on the ego. Neptune makes you sensitive and open to the subtlest reality, which is then what tries to get yoga too.

So you have all the warnings and advices for your New Year that is about to begin! Just start!

Get ready with a few minutes exercises a day:

Tada-āsana, mountain pose. Still and stable. Try to understand where you are in your path and how you feel. // From 2 to 4 min.

Utkata-āsana, literally the unstable pose, but known as the powerful pose and the yogic chair too. Try to relax in this instability and in this effort. Take stock of yourself. // From 30 sec. at 1 min.

Trikona-āsana, triangle pose. Establish your balance, a proportion between your parts. Look for openness and harmony. // 1-2 min. per side.

TOTAL TIME: from 5 to 9 minutes.

MANTRA of the MONTH: «A new phase».
