Karmic Knots!

«The residue of karma, rooted in kleshas, is felt in seen or unseen existence. While the root existence, there is fruition of it as birth, duration, and experience» (Yoga-sūta, 2.12).

It looks like you have karmic issue to solve, Cancer, and this could be the right month to work on it. The tiredness you feel, the difficulties you encounter, the situations you have to let go maybe mean much more than simple transient events. Perhaps they represent the healing of a deeper wound. The first twenty days of the month the Sun and Mercury help you in this process giving you good opportunities for communication and a more positive thinking.

At the end of the month, however, with the Sun square, you will be asked to account for what you are doing, the proof that you are working in the right direction. On the other hand, as Patanjali’s quote says, “the residue of karma is felt seen or unseen”, that is it involves every kind of experience and therefore trials and challenges too. They might be used to overcome that karma.

It is a normal and necessary condition for everyone, so much so that karma, according to Patanajali, is rooted in kleshas, which are characteristics that allow human beings to survive: fear of death, attraction for what you like, repulsion for what you do not like, ego, ignorance. You just have to understand, Cancer, to what extent kleshas and karma influence your actions and thoughts so as not to be too conditioned by them and to resolve what makes your life uncomfortable. Change is hard work even when it is for better, so do not get discouraged, Cancer, but take action to bring your wellbeing to a deeper level.

Use these exercises to work on karma:

Matsya-āsana, fish pose. Open your pelvis and lower part of the abdomen, your heart and throat. Fish represent unconscious contents, let them emerge. // 1-2 min.

Bhujanga-āsana, snake pose. The snake can take and digest big bites withhout difficulty. It periodically changes its skin and thus it is a symbol of regeneration. Observe how you have been able to transform yourself over time. You will still be.  // From 30 sec. to 1 min.

Visualization. Relax in a meditative pose. Take some time to relax all your muscles. Visualize a green mountain meadow and a small shallow lake with clear water nearby. Sit down by the lake and mentally dive into the lake. On the bottom there are various objects, observe them well, you can pick them up and touch them. Choose an object, the one you like most and, while you choose, ask yourself why you like it. Observe your feelings. Choose whether to bring the object with you to the surface or put it back on the bottom with the others. Go up again, with your mind back into your body. Observe the environment, the lake, the lawn, let the image disappear and feel yourself back in your body here and now. // From 5 to 15 min.

TOTAL TIME: from 7 to 18 minutes.

MANTRA of the MONTH: «I can see in the depths».
