Libra

Affirm your change!

«For the discriminating one, all is dissatisfaction due to the conflict of the fluctuations of the gunas and by the dissatisfactions due to parinama, sorrow, and samskaras» (Yoga-Sūtra, II.15).

Uranus finally exits its opposition and leaves Libra with what remains after the revolution. A great change of life, whether desired or not, brings great consequences. Not only does Libra need to adapt to its new life, but it needs to look inside itself to test if what Uranus was asking is really achieved: more freedom of expression, a life responding to its own nature. There is something karmic about denying such a life and the deep knots of karma is just what Libra is facing now. Moreover Pluto recently pushes Libra to ask questions about its identity.

In Patanjali quote, the word parinâma indicates change. More specifically, it indicates suffering related to change, because changing always costs a fatigue, even when it is for better. On the other hand, change is part of evolution, it’s intrinsic in nature. Therefore it can not be avoided. So it is worth then to surrender to it, because otherwise resistance will develop even more pain. Resistance is natural and human, but it is often due to tendencies (vāsanā). Vāsanā are impressions resulting from previous karma, that lead to behave in a way, that is not correspondent to you dharma, your duty, your role in this world and in this life. Do not be influenced by vāsanās, Libra: Saturn square asks you to be patient and reaffirms the very idea of letting go of the old.

Look inside, adjust in your transformation, affirm yourself with these few āsanas:

Matsya-āsana, fish pose. Open your pelvis and lower part of the abdomen, your heart and throat. Fish represent unconscious contents, let them emerge. // 1-2 min.

Bhujanga-āsana, snake pose. The snake can take and digest big bites withhout difficulty. It periodically changes its skin and thus it is a symbol of regeneration. Observe how you have been able to transform yourself over time. You will still be.  // From 30 sec. to 1 min.

Vīrabhadra-āsana, third variation. Learn how to stay firm in instability. // 1-2 min per side.

TOTAL TIME: from 4 to 7 minutes.

MANTRA of the MONTH: «I believe in my projects» (Same as last month! Go on!)
