Lakshmī – beauty
«Meditate in the heart on the Goddess Mahalakshmi, who possesses all the glories and signs of good luck, is called Trikuta, is beautiful and smiles, is Mahamaya, and resides in the Sripitha, the sacred dwelling. It is the great Bhairavi, the power of the Spirit, the great Tripura» (Tripurātāpinī-upanishad, 1.39).
According to the pantheon of Hindu divinities, Lakshmī is the goddess of fortune, spouses of Vishnu, the god who preserves the world. The goddess brings gains, well-being and all the most pleasant aspects of earthly maintenance, while her consort is busy with far more basic survival tasks. Lakshmī is beautiful and brings beauty into life.
You should the same do this month, Taurus. It’s your month, and since health and morale are high, you can work to build your future and you can work for beauty. You have enough energy and desire to implement the changes that Saturn asks of you. Of course you have to commit yourself, but then commit to something that gratifies you not only financially, but from an aesthetic point of view (and I say aesthetic in the broadest sense of the term).
The term lakshmī, besides referring to the goddess, means “beauty”, “grace”, “charm”, “splendor”. It is the “prestige” that you can earn, since communications and relationships are such that you always make a good impression to others.
Pay homage to beauty, Taurus, with this sequence:
Ardha-Matsyendra-āsana, Matsyendra half-pose. The pose makes you feel your pride and dignity. It brings joy and good humor. Feel beautiful! // 1-2 min. per side.
Ardhachandra—āsana, half moon pose. Look for grace in this pose. // 1-2 min. per side.
Dhārmika-āsana, devotion pose. Keep humility anyway. // From 1 to 3 min.
TOTAL TIME: from 5 to 11 minutes.
MANTRA of the MONTH: «I pay tribute to beauty».
