Given the request, I propose in June a small course of therapeutic and functional yoga to get back into shape for the summer. Four open-air meetings, in which we will focus on mobility, muscle tone and posture, basic factors for feeling stable and serene in your body.
«The human body is potentially capable of assuming innumerable poses and each of these involves a coordinated action of specific muscles and joints as well as differentiated stimulation of the different sub-cortical centers of coordination. Hatha-yoga has taken the maximum advantages from this principle, which is why we take so many different āsanas: each of them acts in a specific way on the musculoskeletal system and on the nervous and endocrine system.
In this way it is possible to carry out a physical and emotional reorganization: if the person assumes a certain postural attitude according to his personality, intentionally maintaining opposing positions contributes to changing his own emotional patterns. The same classical definition of âsana, for which the pose must be stable and comfortable, recalls the concept of correct and efficient posture, according to which a certain economy must be respected, that is, to involve the minimum contribution of voluntary efforts and energy for its adaptation and retention».
