Samādhā – to settle in
«Not the mere indulgence of thought (in curiosity) but the constant concentration of the intellect (or the affirming faculty) on the ever-pure Brahman, is what is called Samādhāna or self-settledness» (Vivekachudamani, 26).
Samadhana is a term that often occurs in yoga texts and implies the ability to fix the mind in concentration. The term derives from samādhā, which means “to put together”, “to unite” and then “commitment”, “intent”, but also “firmness”, “calm”, “peace of mind”, since it in turn derives from sama, “equanimity”. In short, the concept revolves around the ability to adapt to a new mental situation and remain with peace of mind and constancy.
You have a lot to do, Scorpio, but the climate is pleasant and favorable especially in the first half of the month. It is a good time to settle in changes, especially for those born in the first decade that probably have had important changes. The new always brings fatigue too and therefore vulnerability. In general, sensitivity and vulnerability are a bit at risk, as in the second half of the month the tension is again felt due to the accumulation of things to do. If you do not listen and do not understand when it is appropriate to rest, you could take it out on others by generating unnecessary disharmony.
Maintain equanimity with this sequence:
Vriksha-āsana, tree pose. A way to restore calm and inner balance. // 1 min. per side.
Anuloma-Viloma, literally natural-unnatural, also called nādī-śuddhi or nādī-śodhana, that is cleansing of the channels. Use this technique to stabilise your mind and keep it calm. Try to exhale twice the time of the inhalation! // From 3 to 10 min.
Concentration. Sit in a meditative position and take some time to relax all your muscles. Think of all the events of the day, what you said, done, felt and how you reacted to such events, the emotions you experienced, even the most subtle, the nuances … until the moment you arrived here to sit down. Observe how you feel now. // From 5 a 15 min.
TOTAL TIME: from 10 to 27 minutes.
MANTRA of the MONTH: «I am steady and stable».
