THE TRUTH IN NOTHING
After the success of the cycle of lessons on emotions, a further step in the journey of self-knowledge: a reflection on the sense of self .
The five seminars will be a journey inside youself following one of the basic trends of the man: identification. This tendency responds to the question that every person has asked himself at least once in his life: who am I ?
I remember an Indian teacher who taught us that if I can see my body as a subject who sees an object, it means that I am not my body ; then maybe I’ll be my mind. If I think about it, though, I can see my mind too, see how I feel. Who then is this subejct that sees?
In yoga tradition, asmita, the sense of self, is an important concept because it is the last obstacles to be overcome, before reaching spiritual realization. In these five seminars we’ll see how to face it, if not to reach enlightenment, at least to live better with ourselves, avoiding attachments and frustrations that identification necessarily entails.
We will do it through the practice of hatha-yoga, because from the body we start and in the body we remain in any case!
