Virgo

Virgo

Animisha – vigilant

«Once, in a holy place (animisha-kshetre) in the forest of Naimiṣāraṇya, great sages headed by the sage Śaunaka assembled to perform a great thousand-year sacrifice for the satisfaction of the Lord and His devotees.» (Laghuyoga-vasistha, 10).

The kshetre indicates a sacred place such as the battlefield on which the whole revelation of the Bhagavad-gītā takes place. In the case of the verse above the place is holy for Vishnu, the one who is animisha, that is, who never blinks, who is always alert. Vishnu is the preserving god, He maintains the status of what exists and as such cannot be distracted.

You have been working hard for the whole year, Virgin, and the results are arriving. You can see more closely the possibility of realizing what you have in mind if not already a small achievement. This usually helps to relax a little. If I were you, however, I would not give up right now either in the face of a success or in the face of any difficulties. You’re still under construction, Virgin. Take some small satisfaction but keep being vigilant.

IN PRACTICE

Brhumadya-drishti, fixing the sight between the eyebrows.

Sit in a meditative position for five minutes. He looks between his eyebrows with his eyes open for the first two minutes, then with his eyes closed. Try this exercise three times a week.

Awareness exercise:

Every day get seven minutes to lie down without doing anything at all: don’t read, don’t think, don’t even do a guided relaxation. Just limit yourself to chasing your thoughts, considering that you can’t solve anything in those seven minutes. Then go again with what you have to do.

Mantra of the month:

«Vigilant».
