YOGA AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH
A yogic path to be enjoyed in sequence or even for a single episode. Each evening will be a test to measure your health at various levels. According to the World Health Organization, health is something that must be found on several levels:
«Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease».
So it is not enough not to be sick to be healthy. What’s more, health is not something that you have and that you continually risk losing, but you must rather work to conquer and maintain it every day.
Here then is the path of yoga to maintain the health of the body with the first two meetings dedicated respectively to the motor system and to the nervous plexuses that make it move (plexuses that, according to many, correspond to the chakras). In the first meeting, hatha-yoga will help us with techniques that unlock the joints and improve the state of the spine and muscle elasticity.
In the second meeting we will have the honor of having as a guest Dr. Nicola Micheletti, neurologist of the Integrated University Hospital of Verona, who will accompany our exercises making us understand what is happening in the nervous system as we perform them.
The second two meetings will serve to understand how to conquer mental health and social health. One will be a work on emotions using the techniques and wisdom of oriental culture, while the other will be a nice couple yoga game that teaches us to trust others.
Finally, the last meeting is an addition to the definition of the WHO, as yoga provides that spiritual health is to be cultivated for the overall well-being of the person. In this case, we will start as always from hatha-yoga, because physical exercises can have a spiritual significance, to reach a more meditative dimension, because it is in meditation that the crowning glory of yoga and of the human being is found.
