Vāsanā – mental imprints

«Abandonment of all latent tendencies is said to be the best (i.e. real) liberation by the wise; that is also the faultless method (of attaining liberation)» (Yoga-vāsistha-sāra,, III.23).

Remember this quote, Aries? I wrote it for you exactly one year ago. There the conditions were obviously different from those of now, but reviving the concept of vāsanā can help you this time too. These are footprints rooted in the depths of being, which determine the course of current life. They are latent tendencies at the base of karma, or actions that you have performed, that you are performing and that will perform, binding you to a system of cause and effect beyond your control.

At the beginning of the month you risk a bit of a fight, after you soften up, for the fact that you don’t want to spend all that energy in arguing. And then why fight? What gets hit deep inside you? Which vāsanā? These not easy months have served as food for thought, towards the end of the month you will begin to see the light and a meaning in all this.

Ganesha is the elephant god. The elephant is the symbol of memory in India and Ganesha is the protector of new businesses and activities. So what you need: to purify your memory to improve your actions. Practice it every day for one minute on each side.

Awareness exercise

ust for this month make an effort: whenever you want or have to fight, try to let it be. Choose peace, even if it means withdrawing from the fight, even if it seems unfair or cowardly to you. Then observe what happens inside you in the following hours.
