Kusumita – blooming

«At a short distance stands the Queen of Vraja, and all around are Kṛṣṇa’s friends. Candrāvalī is standing right in front of Him, and Arisṭāsura is standing at the edge of Vraja on stony soil. But Kṛṣṇa’s restless glance falls only upon the form of Rādhā, covered by flowering creepers» (Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu, 3.5.22).

I still insist with a devotional text for you, Sagittarius. Bhakti-yoga is the yoga of love and this verse quoted looks like a beautiful family picture, at the center of which are the two lovers Radha and Krishna. Flowering plants are a beautiful symbol of what opens up, the beauty of life and love represented by this great little “family”.

The affections that you enjoy pleasantly during the holidays should help you overcome some old wounds, to loose some old karmic knot that prevented you from evolving and flourishing in a more peaceful, serene inner dimension. Now you feel that something is changing and you can feel it on the first day of the year, a symbolic day that will give you a sense of who you want to be, how you want to be and how to navigate towards wisdom.
