Phala – fruit
«The result of pious action is pure and is said to be in the mode of goodness. But aciotn done in the mode of passion results in misery, and action performed in the mode of ignorance results in foolishness» (Bhagavad-gītā, 14.16).
Phala is the fruit and is a term that is often used in ancient texts to indicate the result of an action.
The joint moon on Valentine’s Day heralds the beautiful time that awaits you with the arrival of your birthday. Who knows if some karmic knot will not be resolved in a period in which the teachings that life has harshly imposed on you in recent years are finally to fruition: if you add love to these, then the ego turns into compassion, confusion into understanding, illusions in spiritual opening.
IN PRACTICE
Hala-āsana, plow pose
What is sown is harvested! Notice how you feel in this position.
Awareness exercise
Observe your behaviors recently. Have they changed compared to those of a few years ago? Have you become harder or more compassionate? How have your experiences in recent years changed you? If you see that you have gotten tougher, think about how you would feel if you reacted more compassionately. If, on the other hand, you are already more compassionate, see if this attitude stems from real empathy or just resignation..
Mantra of the month
« I reap the fruits of my actions».
