Klishta – annoyed

«The mental modifications are of five kinds, and they are painful or non-painful» (Yoga-sūtra, 1.5).

Klishta, in the verse translated as “painful”, means above all “difficult”, “annoying”, “harassing”, “vexatious” and again “distressed”, “afflicted”, “tormented”, “tired”, “wounded”.

The Yoga-sūtras say that our thoughts (vritti) fall into two categories: klishta and its opposite, aklishta.

Klishta includes all words you really don’t want to hear, Capricorn, now least of all.

You want to feel good, you want to improve your life. Sure that’s what everyone wants, but you are particularly determined to acquire this status and, if by chance you already have it, to keep it tight. So if someone gets in the way of your goals, you risk reacting really forcefully, not to mention violence, especially if certain events remind you of past wounds. Remember this possibility towards the middle of the month when you will be particularly annoyed, as luckily Easter passes peacefully and the same serenity returns towards the end of the month.

IN PRACTICE

Capricorn Horoscope April 2021

Gomukha-āsana,  cow face pose

This pose in the ancient texts is described with the arms on the legs and is counted among the meditative positions. Don’t you find that it confers great firmness? Try both versions!

Awareness exercise

Whenever you feel bothered by something, think that it is just a state of mind, a modification of it (vritti). The mind is transformed very quickly and quickly passes from one modification to another.

Mantra of the month

«Yoga citta-vritti nirodah»

(yoga is the suppression of modifications of the mind).
