Paricchada – personal garments
«The servants, whose forms resembled the Lord’s, were surrounding Him on all sides, deferentially attending Him, their hands adorned with beautiful items used in His service, such as yak-tail whisks, fans, and sandals» (Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.4.72).
Paricchada is a generic term that indicates personal items, including clothes, what is necessary, what you carry with you to travel. In this sense, it can also be fully translated into “baggage”.
The season of love is back, Sagittarius, and therefore the pleasure of feeling attractive and charismatic again. Yet there is something that does not convince you, fears or memories of bad experiences, which slow you down compared to the usual ease with which you usually relate by being nice. These are years of inner reflections in contrast to your natural tendency to act without thinking too much. However, this does not mean that it is a bad period. We all carry within a baggage of memories and wounds, it is enough just to recognize it and know how to find the right corner for them in the heart and in the mind.
IN PRACTICE
Ushtra-āsana, camel pose
Everyone carries their own burdens.
Awareness exercise
Once or twice a week, take ten minutes and sit in a meditative position. Think of the wounds received, the disappointments, the sufferings. Then think about how you overcame them and managed to go on and find your smile again. Think that those sad and negative parts are parts of you and have also taught you a lot. Today they are inside you and have a positive function. You are also this and this does not detract from the beauty of you, on the contrary it strengthens it!
Mantra of the month
«All my parts».
