«Bless that Mother Nature be kind to us; the heavens give us peace, the earth be gentle; gentle be the waters that flow; gentle be the plants and herbs that grow. May the past be kind; the future benign» (Atharva-Veda, 19.9.1).
Leo’ astrological situation is a good test for the nerves. The opposition of Mars and the square of Jupiter and Mercury bring the risk of exasperating communication and make Leo appear arrogant and hostile. The sector concerned could be work or love, considering that Venus makes a square too. The fact that both Jupiter and Venus and Mercury are opposed to Uranus adds surprises and unexpected events.
Vairāgya means detachment and together with exercise (abhyāsa) it is considered the basic step for spiritual realization. Being detached means understanding deeply that everything is transitory, painful because ephemeral. With detachment every experience is lived without being overwhelmed, because if you don’t expect anything, nothing really hurts you.
It’s not an easy concept, Leo, but it’s worth keeping it in mind. It will help you to reach calm. Help yourself with this short sequence too:
Tada-āsana, mountain pose. Stop and stand for a moment, stop and think. Establish your center before any action or word. // From 1 to 5 min.
Trikona-āsana, triangle pose. Establish your balance, a proportion between your parts. Look for openness and harmony. // 1-2 min. per side.
Mālā-āsana, garland pose. Same as last month, cultivate patience. // 1-2 min.
TOTAL TIME: from 4 to 11 minutes.
MANTRA of the MONTH: «I am tranquil».
