«Intellect is the distinguishing principle (adhyavasdya). Virtue, knowledge, freedom from passion, and power denote it when affected by (the mode) “goodness ‘ (sattva); when affected by ‘darkness’ (tamas) it is the reverse of these» (Sāmkhya-kārikā, 23).

For the first half of the month your energies are high, but you have to be careful, Aquarius, to use them in an intelligent way. You can do a lot and with Venus trine it’s a great time to carry on your work and realize your ideas. Sun square is another push to end projects you’ve been working on for a while and finally get to reap the benefits. At the end of the month you won’t no longer feel Mars pressure and Venus sweetness, but at least Uranus and Jupiter squares no longer hinder your actions and intentions.
When the condition of inertia, indolence, mental darkness, spiritual torpor predominates in a body, that body is said to be dominated by tamas quality. This predisposes intellect to vice, ignorance, attachment and lack of power, as well as listlessness and inability to pursue something. It is not necessary to go to the opposite, the quality of rajas, or hyperactivity, to get to the contrary. A harmonious sattva condition is enough to be active without overdoing and act with balance and wisdom.
Pour out your excess energy physically, Aquarius, in order to avoid the risk of venting it in an arrogant, intrusive or egoic way on other people.
