«The second (chakra) is the svādhisthāna, beautiful like genuine ruby; meditating (on that) with the gaze fixed on the tip of the nose, one is freed from sin» (Goraksha-śatakam, 79).

Eyes on relationships!

November begins well with favorable Venus and Mars. Venus retrogradation in the second half of the month leads Libra to think over its relationships. This could lead to a crisis for those born in the first decade, who feel Saturn square too. For the last decade, instead, it could be synonymous with news and small revolutions, given Uranus return in a opposite position.

Svādhisthāna literally means “its home”, “its own place”. That “its” may refer to Shakti, the divine energy, or perhaps to the linga, the male sexual organ. In fact, this chakra is placed at the root of the penis and, in the woman, at the level of the vaginal dome, and it is the seat of the vital energy. Closely linked to sexuality, it concerns the relationships that you choose, more or less unconsciously, to discover unexplored parts of yourself and to understand your way of relating to the other sex.

Use this period to think over your way of relating, Libra. It could also lead to a revival of passion!

Increase your vitality with this sequence:

Matsya-āsana, fish pose. Open your pelvis and lower part of the abdomen, your heart and throat. Fish represent unconscious contents, let them emerge. // 1-2 min.

Ardhaśalabha-āsana,  half locust pose. It stimulates kidneys vitality in order to release energy. // 1 min. on the side.

Upavisthakona-āsana, downwards open angle. Try to relax your hips, let them open. If you do not arrive with your forehead on the ground, relax your head on a support. Let yourself go and see how you feel. // 2 – 4 min.

TOTAL TIME: from 5 to 8 minutes.
