Sagittarius

Be reasonable!

«That which in the beginning may be just like poison but at the end is just like nectar and which awakens one to self-realization is said to be happiness in the mode of goodness. That happiness which is derived from contact of the senses with their objects and which appears like nectar at first but poison at the end is said to be of the nature of passion» (Bhagavad-gītā, 18.37-38).

Rajas is an aspect of existence that determines activity, often hyperactivity. Fire is rajas, fast movement is rajas, desire to overdo it is rajas. This is the only drawback of this period, Sagittarius. In fact, for several months you will be able to enjoy the positive aspect of Jupiter. It will give you enthusiasm, optimism and good health. It’s a good time to start new projects. The only negative aspect of this transit is a certain tendency to overdo with the risk of investing energy or money in a way that will then lead to losses instead of successes. In short, Sagittarius, do not put on your head exaggerated ideas, considering, even more, that the long Neptune square puts at risk your lucidity and your ability to make correct choices.

Instead, try to cultivate sattva, which is the most harmonious mode of existence. Be reasonable and together with new projects, acquire some new healthy habit. It’s a good time to do physical activity, since even Mars gives you energy. A sattvic attitude will also help you overcome some challenges at the end of the month, that you might experience as a nuisance.

Yoga aims at sattva. Even just a few minutes a day will take you in this direction:

Trikona-āsana, triangle pose.  A harmonious position to be balanced on one side and the other. An example of balance and stability. It gives the sense of the base, bringing dynamism with measure and attention. // 1-2 min. per side.

Vriksha-āsana, tree pose. A way to restore calm and inner balance. // 1 min. per side.

Anuloma-Viloma prānāyāma, literally natural-unnatural breath, also called nādī-śuddhi or nādī-śodhana, that is cleansing of the channels. This technique helps to balance the body in all its aspects: from metabolism to nervous system, from circulation to breathing. Try to exhale twice the time of the inhalation! // From 3 to 10 min.

TOTAL TIME: from 7 to 16 minutes.

MANTRA of the MONTH: «Be reasonable».
