Ojas – vitality

«I enter into each planet, and by My energy they stay in orbit. I become the moon and thereby supply the juice of life to all vegetables» (Bhagavad-gītā, 15.13).

The energy Krishna refers to is ojas. It is not prāna, the vital breath that makes us alive, but of an energy linked to physical and mental vigor. Ojas is a positive force that animates us,  and in fact it is concentrated largely in seminal fluid. It is the ojas that, in tantra, the yogin tries not to waste (“retention of the seed”), because he wants to sublimate that vitality and to take advantage of it on a higher, more spiritual level.

The good news, Capricorn, is that this month you will once again feel the vitality, which in recent times you have seemed to have lost. Take the opportunity to get back on your feet and allows yourself some moments of pure pleasure.

Increase your vitality with this short sequence:

Śalabha-āsana, locust pose. locust. Stimulate kidneys vitality to get energy. // From 30 sec. to 1 min.

Pārśvakona-āsana, side angle. A stimulation for the heart, this pose makes your body mobile and dynamic and it works on your basement. // 1-2 min. per side.

Visualization. Sit down in a meditative pose. Take your time to relax all your muscles. Imagine a mountain with a lawn. Visualize a waterfall and a stream of clear, transparent, shallow water. Go near the waterfall, look at it, listen to the noise, the aromas around; immerse yourself into the water: in the waterfall or in the stream that flows a little further below. Think about the things that bother you, physical and mental problems, think that this flowing water takes away anything that bothers you. Let yourself be cleansed by this limpid mountain water. Then exit the waterfall or stream, observe the sensations after washing. // From 5 to 10 min.
