Prakrtyāpura – realize the potential
«From the flooding of prakrti, arises parinama into other births». (Yoga-sūtra, 4.2).
The sūtra refers to all human potentialities, siddhis, that is powers, which manifest through yoga practice. Patanjali specifies that it is not a transformation. Certain “powers” are intrinsic in each of us, they are just dormant. With yoga discipline obstacles or resistances, that prevent these potentialities from manifesting themselves, are removed.
Therefore it is something absolutely natural, which comes to light thanks to a strenuous discipline.
Take inspiration from this, Virgin, and don’t forget discipline. You want to work hard to improve your living conditions, from small habits to big projects. This at least at a theoretical level. The practice, however, this month could be not so steady, as you may be a little lazy, undisciplined and indulgent. It’s good to enjoy, but without forgetting that your astrological condition is now in a very good condition to build a good future. Virgin is the sign of method (to learn?), do not think then that you have already learned everything, but continue to cultivate your projects methodically. You will then see how your potential can unfold over time!
Keep disciplined with this sequence:
Baka-āsana, crane pose. A pose to test your concentration and commitment // From 30 sec. to 1 min.
Anuloma-Viloma prānāyāma, literally natural-unnatural breath, also called nādī-śuddhi or nādī-śodhana, that is cleansing of the channels. Use this technique to clarify and stabilize your mind. Keep a stable rhythm and try to exhale twice the time of the inhalation! From 5 to 10 min.
Concentration. Relax in a meditative position. Take some time to relax all the muscles. Observe the breath, observe the state of the mind. Try to make yourself aware of all the sensations of the body, especially those related to the touch: the pressure of the legs and buttocks on the ground; the touching of the clothes on the shoulders and on the abdomen, the warmth of the hands in the points of contact with each other and with the legs; the freshness of the parts of bare skin that are touched by the air; etc. Go on seeking for tactile sensations. // From 5 to 15 min.
